2018 Texas Spur Jeep Jamboree March 8-10 & March 15-18

Both are “Classic” Jamborees that include hot breakfasts and trail lunches, as well as Friday and Saturday night dinner get-togethers to share stories with new friends. The Texas Spur Jamborees will be held at the historic Inks Ranch, near the Enchanted Rock State Natural Area, and Watch Mountain. Be aware that these Hill Country trails offer challenging terrain with steep inclines, sandy draws, and large boulders. Their Trail Ratings are from 6-9 (on a scale from 1-10), with 6-7 being Demanding and 8-9 classified as Very Demanding. Demanding trails challenge most skill levels, and on very demanding ones, lifts and lockers are helpful, and chances of getting stuck increase.

Here are the details about the Jamboree: Thursday evening, registration from 5:00 – 7:00 pm includes getting to know other participants and Jeep Jamboree staff, having Jeep vehicles evaluated for trail capacity, and selecting trails with the guidance of experienced trail guides. Friday and Saturday begin with breakfast from 6:30-7:30, followed by a general orientation and details about the day’s plans. Then it’s time to hit the trails, led by your veteran Jeep Jamboree guides. Each day, you’ll spend about eight hours exploring the Texas back country, including a trail side break for lunch. At the end of the day, everyone will gather for dinner and a chance to share their day’s adventures from 5:30-7:30 pm.

The Llano County Community Center, headquarters for the Jamboree, is just a five minute drive from our Mustard Seed B&B on the Llano. What could be better to look forward to, after your challenging days off-road in the Hill Country, than relaxing in your room’s private shower with locally made bath products, or soaking in our outdoor hot tub? When you return from dinner at the Jamboree, the 21st century comforts that await you include a king bed with luxurious bedding, flat-screen TV, patio, and access to our fire pit area. Why stay in a campground when you can be pampered like this?
